What Is Energy Therapy?

    We must remember that our energy systems are alive and intelligent. They know exactly what they need for perfect health and vibrant energy. When our energy systems get disrupted, blocked, or damaged some messages are sent to the conscious level to say that something is wrong and then we begin to experience imbalances, blockages, and damage on a more physical level.

    Many of us are trained to look at the physical body and address its needs rather than looking at our energetic systems to provide them with what they need for perfect health. Holistic Healers use tools that work beyond the physical that are said to heal energy and patterns rather than medications that work on a chemical level.

 What Is Reiki?

      Reiki is a very specific form of energy healing where the hands are often placed just above the body or lightly touching to help conduct a positive energy flow into the receiver. Reiki can also be done at a distance at the receivers leisure so that it allows them to receive it at a specific moment of a need.

In a reiki session the practitioner is transmitting universal life force energy into the client through a specific set of energetic motions and symbols. This is done with the intention to create relaxation, or releasing negative frequencies that are being stored in the clients energy-field. 

Though I am a certified Second Degree Usui Reiki Practitioner and soon to be attuned Master, I often work with my own method of Energy Therapy in my sessions alongside the practice of Reiki.

Through a series of Energy Therapy Sessions you will be able to relax while I help shift, activate, and unlock your chakras and energetic centers of your human body so that you can move forward with more balance, confidence, and security through your daily transformational journey.

What does A session consist of?

A complete Energy Therapy session is offered to a fully clothed recipient who is lying on a treatment table, bed of pillows on a comfortable ground space, or sitting comfortably supported in a chair. Energy Healing is also unique where it can be sent via distance sessions as well!

Energy Therapy is offered through light, non-invasive touch with the practitioner's hands placed and held on a series of locations on the head and front and back of the torso. The placement of the hands will never be intrusive or inappropriate, nor should there be any physical pressure. 

Additional placements on the limbs can be done as needed. If there is an injury or surgical scar for example. The practitioner can hold their hands just off the body in the presence of an open wound or burn. Some clients may request all energy therapy be received this way. This is all personal preference. 

When giving energy healing I like to have a discussion with YOU as the client and see what you feel the most comfortable with.

What might I experience?

"I feel very refreshed and seem to be thinking more clearly." "I think I fell asleep." "I can't believe how hot your hands got!" "I feel more relaxed than after a massage even." "My headache is gone."

-These are some of things people typically say after a Reiki session.

The experience of Reiki is subjective, changeable, and sometimes very subtle. People often experience heat in the practitioner's hands, but sometimes the practitioner's hands feel refreshingly cool. Other common experiences are subtle pulsations where the practitioner's hands are placed and or cascading waves of pulsations throughout the body.

People often comment how comforting they find the experience of Reiki to be. An interesting study reported that recipients frequently feel that they are hovering in a threshold state of consciousness, simultaneously aware of their surroundings and deeply indrawn. Some people fall into a deep, sleep-like meditative state. Sometimes the experience of Reiki is dramatic, while for other people, the first session in particular may be uneventful, although they somehow feel better afterward. The most common experience is an almost immediate release of stress and a feeling of deep relaxation.

Reiki is cumulative and even people who don't notice much the first time usually have progressively deeper experiences if they continue. Besides the immediate experience of the Reiki, you may notice other changes that continue to unfold as the day goes on: perhaps stronger digestion, a sense of being more centered and poised and less reactive, and sleeping deeply that night.

What happens after the session?

With my sessions I will sometimes offer an energy diagram of your aura or energy placement. This diagram shows a visual of the energy I saw before and after your energy session.

Please, do not expect a diagnosis, as that is not part of my offerings. I am a Holistic Practitioner I am not a Licensed Doctor or Therapist. My recommendations and advice come from intuition and personal study and experience, as well as certified studying under other Reiki and Energy Practitioners. Though I will give personal suggestions for after-care, such as drinking water and following your body's needs.

Although people typically leave a Reiki session feeling refreshed, sometimes they notice feeling more tired in the evening than usual. This is not viewed as an adverse reaction, but rather as the body's natural healing response, something to be heeded. People commonly report a sense of calm and mental clarity and sleeping well after Reiki.

How many sessions should I receive?

Your session requirement may vary on your energetic body. I may suggest a series of sessions after our first intake session.
Four sessions is a traditional recommendation and gives you time to evaluate what benefits you are receiving.  If you are interested in a more routine visitation we can discuss how best to space the sessions to suit your needs and your schedule.

How Does Distance Healing Work?
A healing that is practiced when the recipient is not physically present is known as distance healing and this works in a similar way to being in the presence of the healer. Distance Healing allows the recipient to benefit from the healing process even if they are unable to be present due to distance or illness. Great for you if you are far away or in need immediately as I can often schedule these sessions quicker. 

When performing distance sessions we will still schedule a time that is good for you to relax in your space of choice so that we can connect energetically for the energy transformation to properly take place.
